REFLECTIONS

For more than 50 years, Reflections has inspired students to explore their creativity and express themselves through the arts. Supported by local PTAs across the country, the program provides opportunities for millions of students to showcase their talents in dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

What makes Reflections unique is its emphasis on creative expression rather than competition. By celebrating each student's individual perspective and artistic journey, the program encourages participants of all ages and abilities to develop confidence, discover their voice, and share their unique stories with others.

Founded in 1969 by Mary Lou Anderson, then President of the Colorado PTA, Reflections has grown into one of the largest arts education programs in the nation. Today, more than 300,000 students participate each year, continuing a tradition of creativity, imagination, and self-expression.

Theme - I Belong

Results after State level judging

After local PTA judging, 92 entries advanced to Council. Of these entries, 23 entries advanced to state for judging. Here are the results after State level judging. Mihika Bhat also received the prestigious Texas PTA Outstanding Interpretation Award for her literature piece.

Theme - What my CULTURE Means to Me

Each year the National PTA Reflections program offers local, regional, state and national opportunities for young artists in Pre-K through Grade 12 to be recognized for their creativity.

We would love to encourage students in all pathways to showcase this theme. From visual arts to music composition to dance, there are so many great ways our students can express themselves.

Students may choose one or all of the available arts categories:

Dance Choreography
Film Production
Literature
Music Composition
Photography
Visual Arts
Special Artist

Students should download the Program Rules to ensure their art meets the requirements for each art category. Each entry must be accompanied by a completed Student Entry Form.
