ACPTA's Leadership Academy 2020-2021

The Allen Council of PTA's is again presenting Leadership Academy class and we are inviting you to join us by nominating leaders from your campus to participate.


This is an incredible opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge of our PTA leaders. By identifying new and emerging leaders on your campus and providing training on PTA, Allen ISD, and leading volunteers, we are striving to foster long-term and effective leaders who will provide partnerships with each campus that will serve the whole school community.


The participants will benefit from:

  • In-depth presentation of Allen ISD
  • Full background and information about the Texas and Allen ISD PTAs
  • Trainings from professional ToastMasters and Parliamentarians that will provide invaluable insight to strengthen their skills, abilities, and confidence in leading volunteers


The sessions will be presented over the course of the school year and broken into six (6), three-hour required sessions. The dates are:

Sept 10, 2020, 8:30-11:30 am
October 22, 2020, 8:30-11:30 am
December 3, 2020, 8:30-11:30 am
January 21, 2021, 8:30-11:30 am
February 25, 2021, 8:30-11:30 am
April 1, 2021, 8:30-11:30 am


Registration is limited to 2 representatives from each campus who understand that the training sessions are all required. This program is free to both the participants and the campus but we require all participants be PTA members in good standing and be made aware of the time commitments of the program. We are encouraging each campus Principal and PTA President to work together to identify potential leaders to join us in this opportunity for training and leadership development.
