LEAD Lab

Class of 2026 - 2027

Allen ISD Council of PTA's LEAD Lab (formerly Leadership Academy) is an incredible opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge of our future PTA leaders, ensuring their long-term partnership and support of our school community.

This is the 8th year that the Allen ISD Council of PTAs has conducted the LEAD Lab (formerly Leadership Academy).  Our goal is to provide a development opportunity for volunteers to grow their leadership skills and learn about the PTA, and the district.  We have had 8 sessions that ended with a collaboration session with the district for issues needing creative solutions.  This year’s topics included family engagement, student enrollment and parent understanding and adoption of the student code of conduct and handbook.

Class of 2026 - 2027

We will soon start taking nominations for the LEAD Lab Class of 2026-2027.

We ask that the PTA president and incoming president confer with the school principal and board members to nominate at least 2 PTA members from your local campus to participate in the 2026-2027 LEAD Lab class. They will benefit from many invaluable training sessions to strengthen their skills and confidence in leading volunteers, as well as in-depth presentations from Allen ISD administration, Texas PTA, Allen ISD Council of PTA's, and other outside presenters.  

Participants are asked to attend ALL classes, as the information builds as the program progresses. (If more than one class is missed, the participant is encouraged to continue coming to LEAD Lab classes but will not officially graduate.)
