  • September 6, 2023
  • November 1, 2023
  • January 17, 2024
  • March 20, 2024

I would like to thank you all for your hard work and dedication this year. Our students, staff and community have all benefited from it. I hope your summer includes lots of family time, ice cream, swimming, laughter, and fabulous memories. I look forward to seeing you all in the fall and for those of you who are ''retiring'' from PTA, I hope you know it's not a thing!

National and Texas PTAs have announced that dues increases will be put to vote over the summer at their annual conferences. The National dues, if approved, will increase from $2.25 to $4.00 and will take effect October 1, 2023. Texas PTA dues, if approved, will increase from $2.25 to $3.75 but will not take effect until August 1, 2024. Thank you to everyone for helping make this year's Community Used Book Fair a success!  Thanks to you, we collected a record 17,000 books!  Proceeds of the sale went back to our local PTAs and allowed us to donate $6,800 to the Foundation for Allen Schools for Allen ISD Staff grants.

Planning has already started for next year's Book Fair. So mark your calendars! It will be April 26 & 27, 2024 at the Allen ISD Service Center. As part of the planning, we'd love our local PTAs, staff, volunteers, shoppers and anyone else to fill out a quick survey to provide input and feedback. Click here to complete the survey.

We also are looking for anyone interested to join our Book Fair Planning Committee. Click here to fill out the application.
